Spurred on by video meister, Peter Good, and the all conquering AE women, the AE O/35 men turned up the heat and jagged a silver medal in the teams event at the NSW Short Course Cross Country Champs held at Rydalmere on July 17. Good luck to our runners doing the Sutherland to Surf this weekend – 11Ks of undulating hills – always a fast finish but watch out for that final uphill!
The 8.00 walkers and 5km funrunners are meeting as usual this Saturday and brekky is always on at the van afterwards!!
So, training on Monday nights is HILL training with Wayne and wasn’t it fun last Monday on “Wallis Street” in Woollahra, well done guys, I certainly felt those hills in my legs on Tuesday!!
And last but not least, our coach Wayne Morgan is off to Cologne on Tuesday 27th July to compete in the games (Good luck Wayne!!), so Peter Good will be taking Monday night training on Monday 2nd August, Monday 9th August and Monday 16th August. Peter is a qualified, level 3 running coach and trains the trackrunners, so we look forward to getting some new training tips!! We will still meet at Centennial Park gates at 6.30 as usual and Peter will direct us to where the training will be held. Thanks Pete!!

That ever-so-eager fun runner Sally Lynch continues her fast moving performances with another first place. This time Sally took on the new Cooks River 5K run conducted in the Strathfield council area. With a fabulous time of 20m 01s….Sally past all who took her on! Congrats again Sally – well done
